“Steamboy” is an animated film about two inventors from the 19th century who live in the UK named Doctor Lloyd Steam (Patrick Stewart) and his son, Doctor Edward Steam (Alfred Molina) who come into possession of a massive Steam Ball. Behind this is an ever-growing darker power, which others will kill to possess for their own ends. After an accident the ball ends up in the possession of Edward’s son, James Ray Steam (Anna Paquin). After events led Ray into the company of the temperamental Scarlet O’Hara (Kari Wahlgren) things begin to become even more dangerous as the two try and solve the secret of the Steam Ball and the mystery behind what happened to Ray’s father and grandfather.
