Hundreds of civilizations were destroyed during the Shadow War. After the War was over, it was time to rebuild. The Interstellar Alliance works with the Rangers to restore the galaxy to its former self, and to try to keep peace among the remaining worlds. A crew of humans and aliens crew the Liandra, a twenty-year-old Ranger starship that is also said to be haunted. David Martel (Dylan Neal) is given the command of the ship, and asked to escort a cruiser carrying several diplomats to a clandestine location. Once they arrive, the craft are attacked by a mysterious force known only as The Hand whose ancient power is far greater than anything they’ve ever encountered.
