“Ring of the Nibelungs" is a story based on the Germanic legend of “Das Nibelungenlied" telling a tale about a young blacksmith named Siegfried (Benno Fürmann). Siegfried is unaware but he is the heir to a once conquered kingdom sets out to make good with King Gunther (Samuel West) and slay the kingdom’s bane, the dragon Fafnir. The king wishes to reward Siegfried for his bravery and bestows onto him the hoard of treasure from the dragon’s lair. Siegfried accepts and ignores the curse that comes along with the treasure, a curse that now has swept the land and endangers his true love the exotic Norse warrior queen Brunhild (Kristanna Løken).
